Q. What type of care is offered at Villa St. Benedict?


Residents at Villa St. Benedict enjoy an elegant neighborhood of Independent Living villas and apartments, with the peace of mind of knowing that they have priority access to Benedale Center for Assisted Living and Abbey Lane (memory care) right on campus. We also offer enhanced health and wellness services through our associations with Rush University Medical Center and Benedictine University.

Also available at Villa St. Benedict is "At Your Service: Nursing – Home Care Services". Offering personal assistance with daily activities, nursing services like medication management, companionship and escorts to appointments and outings or solutions to get you back on your feet after an illness or surgery.

Q. What if I need some assistance in my apartment or villa home?


At Your Service Nursing – Home Care is licensed by Villa St. Benedict. This assistance helps you to remain successful in your independent living apartment or villa home when additional support is needed. This is a separate expense contracted with At Your Service Nursing – Home Care.

Q. Where is Villa St. Benedict located?


Villa St. Benedict is located in the suburbs west of Chicago, in Lisle, Illinois, on the northeast corner of the intersection between Yackley Ave. and Maple Ave. (For a map, see here.) We are easily accessible to major highways and hospitals. Benedictine University is within walking distance. The North Central College campus is also within a 5-minute drive, as is the famous Naperville Riverwalk – a scenic, vibrant shopping and restaurant district. The world-renowned Morton Arboretum, with its woodland walkways and nature center, is just 10 minutes away.

Q. Can I have a pet while living at Villa St. Benedict?


Yes, Villa St. Benedict welcomes small pets! We ask that they weigh less than 50 pounds.

Q. Who are the sponsors of the community?


Villa St. Benedict is co-sponsored by The Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart and Benedictine organization. Villa St. Benedict is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, faith-based community that is welcoming to all.

Q. What types of activities are offered to the residents of Villa St. Benedict?


Activities are plentiful at Villa St. Benedict! In addition to our daily activities as shown on the resident calendar, we have an affiliation with Benedictine University and College of DuPage for Life-Long Learning Programs with classes on premise.

Q. What does the monthly service fee cover?


Your monthly service fee is based on the floor plan of the apartment or villa you choose in independent living. Depending on that choice, the fee includes: weekly housekeeping and linen service; all utilities, telephone, cable and internet; transportation to appointments and activities. There are three dining venues for a variety of culinary experiences to choose from with a flexible meal plan. Residents also have the added convenience of a 24-hour emergency call system and onsite maintenance (including snow removal!), and full usage of our wellness center and spa. VSB is a refundable entrance fee community of 90% and repayable to residents or to their estate upon withdrawal from the community and when the floor plan is reoccupied.
