"This was not my children's choice, but my own personal one. I love the safe and private grounds, and park-like setting. I really can't leave anyone out in my praise for the staff, and my fellow residents. Everyone is kind, friendly, and helpful. It's wonderful to have 24 hour security and a friendly concierge staff. I also can't say enough about our wonderful housekeeping and maintenance staff. They are so polite and always willing to help, not to mention everything is clean and safe all the time! I also enjoy many activities through our Life Enrichment programs, and I take advantage of our state-of-the-art fitness center."
Ron & Peg fell in love with Villa St. Benedict's comforting and friendly atmosphere, and they have enjoyed spending time with their neighbors. Even throughout the past months, they feel assured that their health and safety are a priority, and continue to enjoy the company of their friends. Ron & Peg truly are Living Fully, Living Well.
Thank you Amy Santi for sharing your story with us! Your mom was a delight and we enjoyed her just as much as she enjoyed living here.
Amy shared with us her mom's story and how much of an impact Villa St. Benedict had on her life.
"I visited three other places and was not terribly impressed... One was so expensive it was completely out, and another, the people really weren't very friendly. The third one was too small. Everything was crowded in together. "
"I grew up in Lisle, but lived away for 50 odd years... visiting this place was a revelation to me. It was like coming home. The library...the feel was right...it was comfortable. After my son helped move me in, two weeks later I called him and said, "You know how much you liked this place for me? I found something even better: the people. They are the friendliest! We laugh a lot here. And that made this place just about perfect..."
"...It's a new neighborhood for us. And it's small. This was one of our decision-making points. We did not want to be in a large, large facility. We wanted to be...where we would know almost everybody. And we would do. It is a community. And one of the benefits of the community is the staff here. You cannot find a more compassionate, attentive staff. They're fantastic. When we moved in here, I don't think we were thinking about what the staff would be like. And it has been a bonus..."
"I have to give my husband credit, because he chose Villa St. Benedict. And he wanted me to have this, knowing that he wouldn't be here that long. And I swear it's the best thing he ever did for me. It's beautiful. I'm so comfortable here, I'm happy, I'm safe. I just feel this is where I want to be. Forever. So I'm delighted to be here. And I would encourage anybody, I have, to come, at least check us out. Because it's well worth it."
