Foundation Development Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Administration

SHIFT: Flexible, 20 hours per week

TYPE: Part Time. Non-Exempt

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with previous experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, organization and planning skills. Experienced in Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Publisher. A good understanding of database software would be helpful.

Annually assists in developing a fund development plan and budget. Coordinate all gifts, grants, contributions, fund distributions and philanthropy expenditures with appropriate Benedictine Health System Foundation team members. Coordinates, maintains and implements the community relations plan that connects the facility mission with community needs. Plans and conducts annual appeal and an employee gift program. Develops and coordinates recognition program to ensure donors receive appropriate recognition. Maintains current prospect/donor/gift database (including constituent management) and tracks cultivation and communication with prospects. Participates in appropriate education opportunities. Coordinate communications; prepare promotional materials, annual newsletter, mass mailings and miscellaneous administrative functions for this area.

Resident Companion – At Your Service

SHIFT: Varies / 7 Days per week

TYPE: Part time. Non-Exempt.

Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. A valid Illinois drivers license will be needed at times. It would be helpful if someone has at least one year working with people in a senior living community or in a customer related position. CPR/AED certified or willing to be trained/certified. Must be willing to complete 4 hours of required training prior to receiving an assignment.

Provide non-clinical services for the personal needs and comfort of residents/clients. Maintain records as needed. Services may include shopping, escort services to appointments, activities, meals. May also assist with home tasks such as laundry, organizing closets, etc.


DEPARTMENT: Culinary Services

SHIFT: 11:00am to 7:30pm, varying days during the week, plus some weekends

TYPE: Full Time. Non-Exempt

High School diploma and training in culinary arts . Minimum of two years experience or a combination of education and/or experience in cooking and food service work. Needs to have a working knowledge of food services routines.

Prepares all cold and hot food items including accompaniments and garnishes following preparation sheets and provided recipes. Completes food temperature checks at each meal. Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at the close of meal service. Responsible for cleanliness, sanitation and organization of kitchen including storage and cooler areas. Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.

CNA (3 open positions)

DEPARTMENT:Resident Care


  • 1.) Every other weekend 2p-10p (2nd and 4th weekend of month)
  • 2.) Every other Fri, Sat, & Sun 5p-9p (2nd and 4th weekend of month)
  • 3.) Every other weekend 6a-10a (1st and 3rd weekend of month)

TYPE: Part Time (more hours available to cover open shifts). Non-Exempt.

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be on the Illinois Registry for Nursing Assistants. One year's previous experience as a nurse aide, preferably working with dementia care. CPR/AED & First Aid certified (or accomplished within 90 days of hire). Ability to perform tasks as assigned and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Ability to substitute other shifts as a PRN.

Provides basic nursing and related nonprofessional services for the personal needs and comfort of residents. Maintain resident records; provide escort services to activities, meals, etc. Assist with laundry services and bed making if requested.


DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services

SHIFT: Monday through Friday

TYPE: Full time, 40 hours a week. Non-Exempt

High school diploma or equivalent. One year of previous experience in housekeeping preferred. Able to read, write and speak English. Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the position.

Performs project and general cleaning of resident apartments/villas and assists with cleaning of public/non-public areas. May assist residents in IL with laundering of linens. Provides coverage for others staff in the area as needed.
