HOUSEKEEPER

DEPARTMENT

SHIFT
Monday through Friday, 5 hours a day, flexible start time (8:30am, 9:00 or 9:30)

TYPE

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of previous experience in housekeeping preferred. Able to read, write and speak English. Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs project and general cleaning of resident apartments and cleaning of public/non-public areas. Provides coverage for other staff in the area as needed.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING, ABBEY LANE

DEPARTMENT
Abbey Lane

SHIFT
Full time, Monday – Friday with flexibility for on-call and weekends

TYPE
Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
RN Illinois license – college degree preferred. Previous managerial experience directing staff, with planning and budgeting responsibilities in a healthcare environment. At least one year of working with seniors and providing dementia care. Excellent communication skills. Experienced using a computer and a resident information system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the day to day operation of Abbey Lane. Work closely with staff to provide a quality environment and care for the residents needing memory care. Supervise staff – coach and train; interview, review and schedule. Assist families, perform resident assessments and develop care plans for residents. Handle on-call for emergencies as scheduled; flexible to cover shifts and provide assistance in other areas of the community for RN services. This position is considered a "direct care" position, and thus is subject to the requirements outlined in the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Administrative Code, including the annual completion of 8 hours of training plus 6 hours of targeted training in dementia care.

CNA

DEPARTMENT
Resident Care

SHIFT
4:30 to 9:30pm Monday & Wednesday plus every other Weekend, 2:00 to 10:00pm

TYPE:
Part Time. Non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be on the Illinois Registry for Nursing Assistants. One year's previous experience as a nurse aide with background working with dementia care. CPR/AED & First Aid certified (or accomplished within 90 days of hire). Ability to perform tasks as assigned and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Ability to substitute other shifts as a PRN.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides basic nursing and related nonprofessional services for the personal needs and comfort of residents. Maintain resident records; provide escort services to activities, meals, etc. Assist with laundry services and bed making if requested.

SERVER

DEPARTMENT
Culinary Services

SHIFT
4:00pm to 7:30pm, 2-3 shifts/week including weekends

TYPE:
Part time, non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
Outstanding customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly personality. Ability to perform tasks as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve residents in our restaurant style dining rooms. Also handle set up and clean up tables in dining room plus restocking items for each meal service.

COOK

DEPARTMENT
Culinary Services

SHIFT
11:00am to 7:30pm, varying days during the week and Sundays 7:00am to 2:30pm

TYPE:
Full time, non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma and training in culinary arts. Minimum of two years experience or a combination of education and/or experience in cooking and food service work. Needs to have a working knowledge of food services routines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares all cold and hot food items including accompaniments and garnishes following preparation sheets and provided recipes. Completes food temperature checks at each meal. Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at the close of meal service. Responsible for cleanliness, sanitation and organization of kitchen including storage and cooler areas. Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.

NURSE, RN – PRN

DEPARTMENT
Resident Care and Abbey Lane

SHIFT
Flexible as needed, 1 to 2 shifts a month but also for 24 hours per week in July, August & September, 3pm to 11pm. May include weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
An RN with previous experience working with seniors and dementia care. Supervisory experience helpful. Experienced using a computer and a resident information system. Must have a current RN license and CPR/AED certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the supervision of Nursing Care for residents. Works closely with the staff in Abbey Lane including care plan coordination and assisting with administering personal care to residents. This position is considered a "direct care" position, and thus is subject to the requirements outlined in the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Administrative Code, including the annual completion of 12 hours of targeted training.
