DEPARTMENT: Resident Care-4 positions available

1.) 4:30pm-9:30pm, Tue, Thurs, Fri, & every other weekend (PT)
2.) 7:00am-11:00am, 3 days during the week and every other weekend (PT)
3.) 7:00am-11:00am, 2 days during the week and every other weekend (PT)
4.) 7:00am-3:00pm every other weekend (PT)

TYPE: Part Time. Non-Exempt

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be on the Illinois Registry for Nursing Assistants. One year’s previous experience as a nurse aide, preferably working with dementia care. CPR/AED & First Aid certified (or accomplished within 90 days of hire). Ability to perform tasks as assigned and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Ability to substitute other shifts as a PRN.

Provides basic nursing and related nonprofessional services for the personal needs and comfort of residents. Maintain resident records; provide escort services to activities, meals, etc. Assist with laundry services and bed making if requested.


DEPARTMENT: Culinary Services

SHIFT: 11:00am-7:30pm, various days

TYPE: Full time. Non-Exempt

High School diploma and training in culinary arts . Minimum of two years experience or a combination of education and/or experience in cooking and food service work. Needs to have a working knowledge of food services routines.

Prepares all cold and hot food items including accompaniments and garnishes following preparation sheets and provided recipes. Completes food temperature checks at each meal. Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at the close of meal service. Responsible for cleanliness, sanitation and organization of kitchen including storage and cooler areas. Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.


DEPARTMENT: Culinary Services

SHIFT: 4:00pm to 7:30pm, 3 shifts/week including weekends

TYPE: Part time, non-exempt

Outstanding customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly personality. Ability to perform tasks as assigned.

Serve residents in our restaurant style dining rooms. Also handle set up and clean up tables in dining room plus restocking items for each meal service.


DEPARTMENT: Resident Services

SHIFT: 2 week schedule is as follows:
Week 1: Sunday 12pm-7pm /Tuesday 3pm-8pm /Friday 3pm-8pm /Saturday 9am-3pm
Week 2: Sunday 8am-2pm / Monday 3pm-8pm / Tuesday 3pm-8pm

TYPE: Part time, non-exempt (19.5 hours per week)

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years previous experience in a position with customer service responsibilities. In depth experience in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet research.

Welcome and provide assistance to visitors and callers for Villa St. Benedict. Serves as a key resource for VSB residents in addressing their inquiries and requests. Ensures procedures assigned to this location are followed. Assist with administration support for special requests and projects.

Life Enrichment Associate

DEPARTMENT: Resident Services

Typical shift times are 9am-5pm during the week, but must work one evening program per week (until 7:00pm) and one weekend per month.

TYPE: Full time, 32 hours per week. Non-exempt

College preferred with training or previous work experience in the area of enrichment programs or a related field working with older adults. Experience in Dementia helpful. Background demonstrates creativity, organization and planning skills. Flexible to work programs/events as scheduled. Experienced in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet research. Valid Illinois Driver’s License and certified in CPR.

Assist with planning and implementation of programs and leisure activities for residents. Programs will be arranged & scheduled based on resident interest and needs; this may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Work closely with the Director of Resident Services in scheduling events, programs, maintaining bulletin boards with decorations and announcements. Assist with the orientation of new residents into the VSB community and learn their hobbies/interests. Assist with purchasing of supplies and materials needed for activities. As needed provides driving for resident transportation needs which includes planned outings. Prepare reports and records as needed for this area. This position is considered a “direct care” position, and thus is subject to the requirements outlined in the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Administrative Code, including the annual completion of 8 hours of targeted training.
