Ours is a mission-based community.

Villa St. Benedict is co-sponsored by two faith-based organizations, the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart and Benedictine Health System.  Their individual missions form the foundation of our day-to-day operations.

Founded in 1895, the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart have a long tradition of commitment to serving the local community through education, parish work helping the homeless and caring for seniors.  The Sisters envision Villa St. Benedict as an extension of their mission of Hospitality. Caring for seniors is the corporate commitment of the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart, who founded and also minister in the Benedale Center for Assisted Living, which is part of Villa St. Benedict.

Benedictine Health System (BHS) is a healthcare organization sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica Monastery, Duluth, Minnesota.  Through their co-sponsorship of Villa St. Benedict, BHS strives to provide a high-quality living environment built on the core values of hospitality, stewardship, respect and justice where seniors can maintain meaning and fulfillment in their lives. BHS owns and/or manages 40 long-term care facilities throughout America.
