Together, the two organizations, led by their individual missions, direct the operations of Villa St. Benedict.

Founded in 1895, the Benedictine Sisters have a tradition of serving the local community through educating children, helping the homeless and caring for seniors.
Caring for seniors is now the corporate commitment of the Sisters, who founded and also minister in the Benedale Center for Assisted Living, part of Villa St. Benedict.
The Sisters see Villa St. Benedict as an extension of their mission of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice.

Benedictine Health System (BHS) is a Catholic-sponsored
healthcare delivery system sponsored by the Benedictine
Sisters of Duluth, Minnesota.
Through their sponsorship of Villa St. Benedict, BHS strives to provide a quality living environment where area seniors can achieve or maintain meaning and fulfillment in their lives. BHS owns and/or manages 68 healthcare facilities in 9 states.
